Casa del Rio is a nine-bedroom riverside Country Inn and Retreat that nestles alongside the Guardiaro River in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda, Andalucía. Situated in the pretty white hamlet of Cañada del Real Tesoro just 20 minutes from Gaucin and 5 minutes from Cortes de la Frontera.

Casa del Rio can be rented as a private venue for weddings, communions, special celebrations, for retreats and corporate events. We also welcome individual travellers to stay with us on a bed and breakfast basis.

The essence of Casa del Rio is the sounds of the Guadiaro river, teeming with wildlife and fish, a magical place to escape the modern world.

An ancient water channel from the original Mill House runs through our grounds – a really unique feature. Several charming terraces and a shady lawned garden overlooking the river, the perfect spot to enjoy spotting herons and ducks on our river.

At Casa del Rio you will find many private little corners – our riverside gardens and patio, the courtyard swimming pool with sunbeds and shady dining area, the Moroccan themed roof terrace, where you can relax with a good book, a glass of wine and enjoy our stunning sunsets. Our barbecue terrace – a great place for a group dinner overlooking the river.

Our home will be your home from the moment you walk through the doors. You may arrive as a stranger, but you will leave as a friend!

Casa del Rio is a charming hotel set in the most stunning countryside. My room was delightful, beautifully furnished with lovely little touches. The views from the bedroom window of the river, green lush countryside and striking mountains are just spectacular. II had an excellent night sleep and thoroughly enjoyed the Breakfast basket followed by a guided river walk. Karen is a marvellous host, passionate about the hotel and everything that surrounds it. I will definately be going back, there is so much to do !
