COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS CRISIS: Total of 1,515 confirmed cases, 53 still in ICU, as death toll rises to 40 in Spain’s Andalucia

The Junta de Andalucia’s Ministry of Health and Families has confirmed 228 new cases of Coronavirus in Andalucia in the last 24 hours. The total number of affected in the region is now 1,515.

In the past day, 10 more patients died: three men in Malaga aged 62, 81 and 86-years-old; three men in Córdoba (73, 86 and 87); three men in Granada (76, 79 and 93) years; and a 65-year-old woman in Sevilla.

Of those admitted 53 remain in Intensive Care Units.

So far 72 patients have overcome the acute phase of the disease so they have been discharged from hospital to complete their recovery at home, where they will remain under active follow-ups.
