CORONAVIRUS CRISIS – EXCLUSIVE PHOTOGRAPHS: Spain’s Malaga-Costa del Sol airport DESERTED this morning

This is the eerie scene at Spain’s fourth busiest airport this morning as the nation puts measures in place to defeat the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic spreading across the world.

Normally the three-terminal international airport has flight connections to over 60 countries worldwide and handles around 20 million passengers a year – but today only Terminal 2 is operating and the flight information boards present a sorry picture.

The airport’s Duty Free, restaurants and shops are all closed.

At the moment all flights are departing from Pier C, while baggage reclaim for flight arrivals is on belts 31-34, according to our airport source.
