LA Almazara is the world’s first author oil mill, designed by visionary Philippe Starck in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda. This unique architectural work integrates nature, tradition and innovation to offer a sensory experience around organic olive oil.
The name ‘almazara’ comes from Arabic and means ‘the press’, referring to the mill used to extract the juice or oil from the fruit. In this case, the almazara is used to extract olive oil, through a process that, although it has changed considerably from ancient times to the present day, essentially retains the same steps.
During the audio-guided visit, you will tour at your own pace the different production and exhibition spaces, discovering the history of the olive grove, the production processes, the aromas and flavors that make LA Organic an international reference.
The tour also includes panoramic terraces, Mediterranean gardens. An immersive, educational and aesthetic walk designed to connect with the soul of oil and the Andalusian landscape.
