I am the mayor of this beautiful village – Jimera de Líbar.

If you’ve browsed this website, you may have found our village to be like a wild pearl embedded in the nature of Serrania de Ronda. This unique valley has been inhabited by Iberians, Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs and now residents of this village in the province of Malaga extend a welcome to you.

From this page I invite everyone to visit us in Jimera de Libar at any time of year and enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of this place.

If you visit us in the autumn you will enjoy their brown and red colors of the poplar, birch, ash, acacia, the oak and wild olive with robins singing in the branches of the thick vegetation.

If you choose the winter we will offer you a warm welcome so that you enjoy an unforgettable stay. The cockerel will be your morning wake-up call signalling that the day has begun and that life is there to enjoy it and live it.

If you choose the spring time, the valley will be bursting with life with flowery fields, full of wildlife and deep aromas that perfume imbuyerán wild nature and intoxicate you to give the feeling of being drunk health and life.

And if you choose the summer you will enjoy its abundant clean and clear waters from springs that sprout between the stones of high cliffs inhabited by mountain goats and deer. In the clear blue skies you will see eagles, vultures, hawks, bee-eaters.

In our beautiful village you will find peace, tranquillity, friendship and the hospitality of its people, conservation and our love for the environment and the beauty of its landscapes.
