Our Head Chef – Massimiliano Chieppa
Massimiliano was born in 1970 in Monfalcone, a town near Venice. When he was 13 he decided to enter the Hotel School for Chefs of Udine (Italy) where he studied for three years.
After completing the course he worked in Venice before deciding to go to Austria to expand his knowledge.
From there, he went to work in Germany and then to Paris where he stayed for a year before returning to Italy. In all of these countries he was gaining experience and learning the different types of European cuisine.
In 1999 he decided to go to England where he remained for ten years and where he gained his greatest professional achievements.
He worked at the restaurant Pepe Sale where they were awarded the prize for being the best restaurant in London for two consecutive years.
He also worked in the Zafferano restaurant and the Chicconi restaurant, both Michelin-starred.
In 2008 he decided to travel to Spain to learn the cuisine. He started at the Hotel Molino Cuatro Paradas in Benaojan (Malaga) where he met his current wife, Carolina, and decided to stay in Spain.
For four years they lived in Marbella, where Max worked as a chef at renowned restaurants such as Amapola and the Golden Goose.
