Alternative travel arrangements for Algeciras train passengers from February 21 – March 25

Renfe has announced plans for alternative road transport for all trains with an Algeciras origin or destination, from February 21 to March 25 2020 while rail infrastructure company Adif perform improvement works on the line between the stations at Castellar and Los Barrios.

Both the Altaria Algeciras-Madrid and the Algeciras-Antequera Medium Distance services will make the route between Jimena de la Frontera and the Algerian capital by road.

In order to allow for the additional transfer times Renfe has modified the schedules of all the trains which will mean an increase of between 30 and 35 minutes over the usual travel time.

Renfe has said that they are unable to provide the unaccompanied minors service nor be able to transport bicycles or pets during the affected period.
